Doodle4Google Projects (September 2016)

Students will be redesigning the Google logo focusing on the theme of what they think the future will look like. The contest deadline is December 2.

 

School Mural (October 2016)

Students will be designing artwork that will be painted on the large grey wall in front of the school that overlooks 485. I am excited to teach the kids how to collaborate and share their art with the many visitors on our campus! All students will be focusing on the basic fundamentals of art including the discovery of shapes, line, color, and texture throughout the year.

Winter Art Auction (November 2016)

Students will be creating collaborative pieces of artwork that will be up for bidding at MCSA's first annual winter art auction, Seeing is Believing. Hot chocolate, popcorn, a movie, and a winter art project will be a part of the evening's festivities, along with bidding on your child's beautiful hand designed artwork. The auction will happen on Friday, January 20th at MCSA from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Discovering Oil Pastels & Collaborative Murals (December 2016)

Students will be learning how to design with oil pastels and practice different blending techniques. They will incorporate 9 principles of design including balance, pattern, rhythm, perspective, and more. They will also learn how to collaborate together on a group mural design project focusing on teamwork.

Taking the Stage: Comedy, Discovering Dragons (Kindergarten) (January 2017)

Students will learn the art of improv through comedy and learn how to get comfortable in front of a small crowd. They will also learn how to develop their comedic characters as well as learn about some of the world's most famous comedians, including my favorite comedian, Lucille Ball!

Willy Wonka JR. Auditions (January 9th, 10th, & 11th, 2017)
